Body Scan is a mindful relaxation practice that can help us relax by bringing our attention to various parts of our body. Studies have shown that body scan and other interoceptive awareness practices can reduce perceived psychological stress and also reduce cortisol levels in students. Body scan practices have even been shown to diminish pain-related distress among chronic pain sufferers.
