While Humming Breathing is a practice that is relatively new to Calm Classroom, its principles--vocal toning, repetition, elongated exhalations--have been used in meditation practices for hundreds of years.

Studies have shown that humming can have positive impacts on mental and physiological well-being, including improvements in cognitive function. Humming can also trigger your parasympathetic nervous system, leading to reduced heart rate and blood pressure.
